ATHENS, Ala. - Faulkner Golf wrapped up its fall season Monday and Tuesday with the only event of the first semester where both squads competed together and saw three individual top-10 performances in the Firehawk Invitational hosted at the Canebrake Country Club.
As a team, the men finished tied for third out of 12 with a 21-over-par 597 over the two round event and the women fourth out of seven with a 70-over-par 646.
Individually,
Rodolphe Cicala picked up yet another podium placement, his third in four events this fall, placing third with a one-under-par 143 on the event paced by a two-under-par Monday.
Gabriel Dulon tied for 10th led by his three-under-par back nine on Monday with an eagle on 18 and finished five-over-par on the event. On the women's side Sofía Gorgees Baeta earned her second top-10 finish of the season tying for seventh with a five-under-par Tuesday, shooting just one-over-par on the front nine.
Juan Cespedes finished tied for 17th with a six-over-par event, cutting two shots off his first round score in the second.
Ernest Juglar tied for 38th at 11-over-par with an even-par front nine in the second round.
Judson Graham finished tied for 49th with a 15-over-par event.
Garrett Jurkofsky shot 20-over-par 164 over the event.
Cooper Osborne and
Connor Taylor finished one shot apart at 60th and 62nd with Osborne finishing one shot better at 24-over-par 168.
Hannah Sanders finished 12th out of the 45 women's golfers with a seven-over-par second round to finish 15-over-par one shot and two places ahead of
Alba Pardo who shot twin eight-over-par 80s.
Shelby Hughes finished 27th, cutting nine shots off her first round in the second with a nine-over-par 81 to end 27-over-par.
Eden Shipp finished 37th with a 36-over-par 180.
Faulkner returns to the course in the spring with the schedule to be announced later.
