MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner was one inning away from claiming three of the four games but settled for a series split with Lindsey Wilson falling 6-2 and 17-5 Saturday at Harrison Field.

Faulkner was in control going into the 7th until the Blue Raiders got hot in the seventh inning to hand the hosts a 6-2 loss in the last moments.
The Eagles got ahead in the second inning when
Wesley Estrella drove home
Johnny Lopez. Lopez delivered the next run in the following inning to prop a good start from
Alexis Saldana who came up with the clutch pitch when he needed it, stranding bases loaded twice in four innings.
Hunter Dupuy and
Evan Valencia gave good hold innings to take a 2-0 lead into the seventh where the Blue Raiders found four hits and turned them into six runs.
Lopez and Estrella each had two hits in the loss.

Early struggles finding the strike zone hurt the Eagles in the final game of the series as the Blue Raiders turned six hits into 15 runs to coast to the series split.
Lindsey Wilson got four in the first highlighted by a two run home run to right, but Lopex answered back with a two run homer to half the visitors' lead.
Two runs scored in the second on a throwing error before scoring nine in the third to essentially call the game despite getting just two hits.
Faulkner got quality relief appearances from five position players–
Francisco Soriano,
Jorge Lucero,
Evan Gilliam,
Tuane Cope and
Orlando Lorduy–who combined to allow just two hits and three walks over 4.1 innings.
Juan Trinidad and
Jose Vargas each had a pair of hits.
Faulkner heads to Truett-McConnell Tuesday at 3 p.m. central in a final tune-up before SSAC play begins.
