Montgomery, Ala.- The Lady Eagles picked up the split Friday afternoon against #19 William Carey. William Carey secured game one 10-0 through six innings. Faulkner picked up the split with the game two win 5-3. The Lady Eagles picked up their tenth SSAC win.
William Carey 10, Faulkner 0
William Carey picked up game one in six innings 10-0. The Lady Crusaders put on two runs in each inning through the first three to put them up 6-0. Through two more frames, the game remained the same. William Carey tacked on four more in the top of the sixth. The Lady Crusaders earned the game-one victory over the Lady Eagles before seven innings.
Faulkner had five hits in the contest from
Anna Catherine Segrest Anna Purvis Gracie Pittman Erika Mitchell and
Ivey Hill each for a single.
Julianna Thames worked through four innings inside the circle for the Lady Eagles.
Katelynn Inness relieved her for the remaining two frames

The Lady Eagles picked up game two, and the series split 5-3. Faulkner put on five runs off six hits through seven innings. They had zero errors as a team and allowed the Lady Crusaders to only three runs despite their seven hits.
For the first inning, the game remained 0-0, but in the bottom of the second, the Lady Eagles put the first run across the plate.
Sarah Williams scored off the RBI single from
Kaileigh Harrison.
The Lady Crusaders answered back with two runs in the top of the third from an RBI double from Brooke Tanner that scored Kinley Hogue and an RBI ground out, courtesy of Rachel Rodriguez, which allowed Alex Davis to score from third. The Lady Eagles retired the top half of the frame. William Carey would end the inning with three quick outs.
Faulkner quickly turned the game around with four runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Chloe Davidson sent
Sarah Williams and
Abby Terrell home for two with an RBI double up the middle.
Anna Catherine Segrest the next at-bat doubled up the middle for another two-run RBI-double. Harrison and Davidson scored off the hit putting the Lady Eagles up 5-2.
The fifth inning saw no change in the score. At the top of the sixth, the Lady Crusaders added one more to the board. The Lady Eagles finished the top of the frame allowing only one run.
In the top of the seventh Faulkner sealed the victory with three straight outs and earned the series split. The final score was 5-3.
Ivey Hill picked up her fifth win of the season and second straight top-25 upset. She allowed only three earned runs and one walk through seven innings.
The Lady Eagles (17-10, SSAC 10-4) return to action on Wednesday where they take on Thomas in SSAC doubleheader action. The first pitch is set for 2 pm at Wynn Field.
