MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner split the day with first time conference foe Thomas on Wednesday afternoon at Wynn Field winning the first game 4-1 before dropping the second 0-2.

The Lady Eagle scoring started in the bottom of the fourth frame when Madelyn Becker reached first from an errant throw from third. Erika Mitchell reached on a walk. Ivey Hill followed suit to load the bases. Abby Terrell hit an RBI single through the left side to plate Becker. Eavie Polk hit a clutch 2-RBI single to center field to advance Terrell to second and to plate the go ahead run. Chloe Davidson hit a single down left field to load the bases. Anna Catherine Segrest added an insurance run with an RBI single to left to score Terrell.Â
Katelynn Inness worked a complete game and carried a no-hitter through 6.1 innings. Inness only allowed three hits one earned run issued one walk and struck out nine to match her season high.Â

The bats went quiet in the second game as the Lady Eagles scattered three hits in the effort.
Anna Purvis went two for three with a single in the first and third frame. Davidson added a single in the third.
The Night Hawks took advantage in the top of the first from a single followed by a ground out and an RBI double down the right field line. Thomas added an insurance run in the third frame with an RBI sacrifice fly.Â
Hill allowed just two earned runs and struck out four in the complete game effort.Â
Faulkner (18-11, 11-5 SSAC) sits fourth in SSAC standings with six SSAC double headers remaining. The Lady Eagles travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. Saturday to face Stillman College and begin a two week stretch of road conference games. Faulkner is at home again April 19 when it hosts non-conference opponent Oakwood University. Â
