Montgomery, Ala. - The Lady Eagles hosted the Point Skyhawks on Saturday morning for a pair of SSAC games. The two games were the last home games of the regular season for Faulkner and Senior Day for nine Lady Eagles. Faulkner picked up the season series sweep over the Skyhawks with the two wins today. The final scores were 8-0 after five innings in game one and 10-5 in game two. The Lady Eagles picked up their 23rd and 24th wins of the season and 14th and 15th SSAC wins.
Faulkner 8, Point 0
The scoring started quickly for the Lady Eagles in game one. They put up three points in the bottom of the first inning.
AnnaMarie Stooksbury singled to right field for a two-run RBI that allowed
Anna Purvis and
Chloe Davidson to score the first two runs.
Ivey Hill scored the third run off a fielding error from the right fielder.
The second inning saw zero runs scored, but in the bottom of the third, the Lady Eagles scored another run to go up 4-0.
Anna Purvis scored the fourth run on an
Ivey Hill RBI single.
Faulkner turned around in the bottom of the fourth and added two more runs to put them up 6-0.
Eavie Polk scored off an RBI double from
Chloe Davidson.
Sarah Williams then sent Davidson home off the RBI single for the sixth run.
The game headed to the bottom of the fifth with the Lady Eagles up six.
Eavie Polk took the plate and singled through the right for the RBI.
AnnaMarie Stooksbury scored the seventh run.
Abby Terrell doubled to center field and the RBI to push Polk home for the walk-off win after five innings. The final score stood at 8-0.
The Lady Eagles had 10 hits during game one.

Anna Purvis had two hits each.

Katelynn Inness started for the Lady Eagles inside the circle in game one. She picked up her seventh win of the season. Inness threw for a season-high 10 strikeouts. She also had a shutout, allowing zero earned runs.
Faulkner 10, Point 5
Game two started with back-to-back scoring innings for the Lady Eagles. In the bottom of the first, Faulkner scored one run with the bases loaded.
Sarah Williams walked for an RBI.
Chloe Davidson scored the first run from third. In the second inning, Faulkner tacked on two more runs. Davidson scored another run after
Madelyn Becker hit an RBI single.
Anna Purvis scored on the next at-bat with an RBI single from
Ivey Hill.
For two more innings, the score remained 3-0. In the top of the fifth, Point finally scored as they put on three runs to tie the ball game.
The Lady Eagles then turned around in the bottom of the frame and put up four more runs.
Anna Catherine Segrest scored the go-ahead run off an RBI bunt from
Ashtyn Pannell.
Abby Terrell scored off an RBI bunt from
Brianna Boyd.
Ashtyn Pannell then scored the sixth run off a fielding error by the catcher.
Madelyn Becker sent
Brianna Boyd home with an RBI double to left field to put Faulkner up 7-3.
In the bottom of the sixth, Faulkner pushed their lead to seven with three more runs.

Brianna Boyd.
Ashtyn Pannell scored after
Chloe Davidson singled to left for an RBI. On the next bat, Boyd scored from the RBI double by
Anna Purvis. The Skyhawks quickly retired the bottom of the inning to send the game to the seventh.
In the top of the seventh, Point fought back by adding two runs to bring the score to 10-5. The Lady Eagles ended the game with the final out and pulled out the sweep. With the game two wins, Faulkner picked up the season sweep after winning two games at Point earlier in the season.
In game two, the Lady Eagles had 13 hits.
Chloe Davidson had three of her own.

Julianna Thames started for Faulkner in game two. She pitched through four and one-third innings of work. She allowed zero earned runs.
Hailey O'Brien relieved Thames and pitched for two and two-thirds innings of work. She picked up her first win of the season.
Faulkner (24-17, SSAC 15-9) returns to action for their final series of the regular season on Friday when they travel to Thomas for an SSAC doubleheader. The first pitch is set for 1 pm.
