For the first time since 2016, Faulkner will field a futures football team consisting of the guys battling for varsity playing time and will compete in six contests with five at home and one away but still in Alabama's capital city.
The futures take the field again on September 6 against Daytona Elite Academy at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium at 3 p.m.
Faulkner then welcomes Tennessee Valley Christian who won the Southwestern Post-Graduate Conference Championship last season. The Defenders will be traveling to Billy D. Hilyer Stadium from Huntsville on September 21 for a 1:30 kickoff.
On October 5, Georgia Prep Academy travels to the Bill for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
On October 19, Faulkner takes the seven miles down the road to Huntingdon to take on the Hawks in a capital city clash at 1:30 p.m.
Eight days later, Faulkner plays under the Monday night lights on campus against Omega Prep Academy from Stonecrest, Georgia on October 27 at 7 p.m.
Faulkner concludes the season against Mississippi Christian Community College on Nov. 9 at 1:30 at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium.
