MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Helen Gutierrez of Life was named SSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Taylor Waters of Faulkner was named SSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Aug. 18-24.

Offensive: Helen Gutierrez, Life, SR, MID

·      This is her first-career honor

·      Totaled two goals and two assists in a 2-0 week

·      Had two goals and one helper in a 3-1 win over Reinhardt

Defensive: Taylor Waters, Faulkner, SO, GK

·      This is her first all-time honor

·      Delivered a five-save shutout in a 3-0 win over Freed-Hardeman

·      Stopped a one-on-one breakaway in the 57^th minute to preserve the lead
