MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Angel Ugwumba of Faulkner was named SSAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Jamie Barry of William Carey was named SSAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Sept. 1-7.

Offensive: Angel Ugwumba (Faulkner – FR – FWD – Quito, Ecuador)

·      This is his first-career honor

·      The freshman totaled three goals in a 2-0 week that featured a pair of one-goal wins, including beating previously unbeaten (RV) Xavier

·      He tallied the game-tying goal against Webber International and then scored twice against Xavier. He is tied for second in the NAIA with seven goals in six matches

Defensive: Jamie Barry (William Carey – SR – GK – Dublin, Ireland)

·      This is his first-career honor

·      Led WCU to a 1-0 win over #12 Indiana Tech

·      Stopped all five shots he faced
