WEST POINT, Ga. - The Eagles fell in a midweek contest at Point Tuesday afternoon 10-5 in nonconference action against the SSAC rival.

Marlon Oviedo hit a pair of back-to-back sacrifice flies to capitalize on
Anthony Bassett Torres's leadoff double and Robertson's single to take a 2-0 lead.
In the bottom of the third, Point scored five runs on five hits and one error to take the lead which would stand the rest of the game. The Skyhawks added two more in the fourth and fifth to blow it open.
The Eagles cut back into the lead when a couple of walks and wild pitches allowed a grounder from Gonzalez to score Bassett again to make it a 9-3 deficit.
Faulkner left bases loaded in the top of the 8th. In the bottom half, Point scored two more on a double to make it 10-3.
Jordan Carter lifted a two-run homer, his eighth of the season, to cut it to 10-5, but Faulkner could not get any closer.
The Eagles travel to Mobile, who sit one game outside of the four-way tie for first in the SSAC, for a weekend series starting Friday.
