LEBANON, Tenn. – Faulkner's six-game win streak came to an end Monday as the Eagle pitching staff proved unable to hold up during its fourth contest in three days. Cumberland scored multiple runs in five innings on the way to a 16-6 victory over Faulkner. The Eagles surrendered four runs in the first inning, two in the second, two in the fourth, sixth in the fifth and two in the sixth on the way to the loss.

Jordan Funk then singled home
Alex Arauz for the 2-0 lead. After Faulkner fell behind 4-2 in the home half of the frame,
Shawn Ross vaulted his team back into the lead with a three-run homer in the second. That Phoenix responded with 10 unanswered runs before
Kevin Saenz homered in the sixth.
Eagle pitchers walked nine batters and plunked four in the contest while surrendering 15 hits and 15 earned runs.
Faulkner (14-10, 5-1 SSAC) returns to action Tuesday in a single nine-inning game at Point University.
