MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 SSAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Juan Rojas of Faulkner was named SSAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Andre Ferreira of Faulkner was named SSAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. The awards are for the week of Oct. 20-26.
Offensive: Juan Rojas (Faulkner – JR – MID – Lambare, Paraguay)
· This is his first-career honor
· Rojas tallied two goals on the week, scoring once each in a pair of wins against No. 7 William Carey and at Mobile
· He tallied the equalizer against WCU and then scored the 86th minute game winner at Mobile to help Faulkner secure the No. 3 seed
Defensive: Andre Ferreira (Faulkner – JR – GK – Maia, Portugal)
· This is his second-career honor
· Ferreira starred in a pair of 2-1 wins over No. 7 William Carey and Mobile, totaling 16 saves and allowing only two goals on the week
· He stopped 10 shots to give Faulkner their first top-10 win in program history against William Carey and had six saves for their second all-time win at Mobile
