MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner outside hitter Allyse Rudolph placed on the All-SSAC Second Team, as announced on Wednesday night at the SSAC Volleyball Banquet ahead of the conference tournament beginning on Thursday.
A junior from Montgomery, Rudolph racked up 258 kills and 243 digs while playing all 101 sets for Faulkner on the season for averages of 2.55 kills per set and 2.41 digs per set. She tallied eight double-doubles while registering season highs of 16 kills and 18 digs in a five-set loss on the road to William Carey. She hit .159 for the season while also putting up 34 blocks, 35 aces and 23 assists.
Jaylyn Strength was Faulkner's representative on the SSAC Champions of Character Team. The junior libero/defensive specialist from Millbrook, Ala., totaled 297 assists for the season for an average of 2.94 per set while also playing all 101. She reached her season and career high of 21 digs at William Carey as well. She added 64 assists and 21 aces to her ledger.
Additionally, eleven Lady Eagles were named to the SSAC Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team: Kolbi Bates, Chasity Broadhead, Riley Deem, Mandi Hart, Aubrie Hinson, Charlee Jordan, Madison Martin, Anna Prempramot, Kendall Rice, Rudolph and Strength.
The Lady Eagles enter the SSAC Volleyball Championship as the 8-seed and will play in Pool A. Their postseason begins tomorrow against 4-seed Blue Mountain Christian at 11:30 am and 5-seed UT Southern immediately following at 2 pm before taking on top-seed and nationally ranked Mobile on Friday at 11 am.
