VONORE, Tenn. - Faulkner wrapped up another solid tournament placing fifth at the Bojangles Intercollegiate paced by its strong first round Saturday with a seven-over-par 295 before finishing with a 35-over-par 899 at the Links at Kahite with
Gabriel Dulon picking up another top-five finish.
After the first two rounds, the Eagles were tied with No. 1 Dalton State for second but a tough Sunday afternoon saw the Eagles fall to fifth.
Garrett Jurkofsky shot his best round of his college career, carding a one-over-par 73 with five birdies. Faulkner had two under-par rounds in the first with Dulon and
Rodolphe Cicala turning in two-under-par 70 and a one-under-par 71, respectively. Dulon shot seven birdies and Cicala eagled the 16th.Â
Dulon continued the hot streak with a three-under-par second round with five birdies to sit in second at five-under-par after the first day. Dulon eagled the sixth hole on Sunday to finish even par with a four-under-par front nine before finishing five-under-par on the weekend to place third for the second time in his freshman campaign.
Cicala barely missed the podium by one shot, shooting a one-over-par 217 on the weekend.
Ernest Juglar and Jurkofsky tied for 54th on the weekend with a 23-over-par finish with
Juan Cespedes just two shots behind them at 25-over-par.
Connor Taylor finished 70th with a 34-over-par weekend as an individual.
The Eagles will wrap up their regular season campaign on Oct. 28-29 at the Firehawk Invitational at the Canebrake Country Club in Athens, Ala.Â
