Marshall named MSC Offensive POTW

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Faulkner's (Ala.) Duece Marshall and Georgetown's (Ky.) Isaiah Wills-Jackson and Drew Rader are the Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.
 
MSC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Isaiah Wills-Jackson – Georgetown (Ky.) – Jr. – Defensive Back – Gahanna, Ohio
  • Wills-Jackson scored two of the three Georgetown defensive touchdowns in the Tigers' 34-13 win over visiting Cumberland (Tenn.) on Saturday.
  • He finished with an 18-yard fumble recovery touchdown in the third quarter and all but sealed the win with a 99-yard touchdown off an interception late in the final quarter.
  • Wills-Jackson added five tackles in the win.
  • His interception and fumble recovery were his first of the season.
  • Wills-Jackson has 24 tackles this season, including 15 solo tackles.
  • With the win, Georgetown improves to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Mid-South Conference.
  • He earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Duece Marshall – Faulkner (Ala.) – Sr. – Quarterback – Jackson, Miss.
  • Marshall threw for 106 yards and ran for 154 more in Faulkner's 36-35 overtime win at Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday.
  • The former wide receiver who converted to quarterback finished the game with a passing touchdown and four rushing touchdowns in the win.
  • Marshall capped the win by completed two-point conversion pass in the first overtime to seal the win.
  • He has amassed 466 passing yards, 408 rushing yards and 60 receiving yards while posting seven touchdowns this season.
  • Marshall earns his first weekly conference honor of the season.
 
MSC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Drew Rader – Georgetown (Ky.) – Sr. – Kicker/Punter – Wooster, Ohio
  • Rader led the Georgetown special teams in Saturday's win by averaging 46.7 yards per punt.
  • He pinned the Phoenix inside the 20-yard line with four of his six punts.
  • Rader's longest punt of the day was a 76-yard boot, the longest in the Mid-South this season and the second-longest in the NAIA.
  • He ranks third in the Mid-South Conference this season, averaging 43.1 yards per punt and leads the conference in most punts inside the 20-yard line with 16.
  • Rader earns his second weekly conference honor of the season.
