Joel Best was a four-year starter for the Faulkner baseball team from 1983 through 1986. He played an integral role in the Eagles’ run to the 1985 National Christian College Athletic Association national championship. In his freshman season, Best stole 36 bases in 37 attempts while leading the country in stolen base percentage. He was an all-conference selection in 1985 and had a career batting average of .322 while tallying 104 career stolen bases. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Faulkner in 1987. Joel and his wife, Andrea, have two daughters: Hannah and Rachel.
