Shane Reynolds starred at Faulkner University in 1987 and 1988 as pitcher for then baseball Coach Tom Fletcher, going on to become the first Eagle to make it to Major League Baseball. He finished his collegiate career at the University of Texas in Austing and was a two-time Southwest Conference Frist Team selection. He spent 13 seasons in the big leagues, finding his greatest success in an 11-year enture with the Houston Astros. He compiled a career 4.09 ERA with a record of 114-96 to go along with 20 complete gaames and seven shutouts. He and his wife, Pam, have two children: Lauren and Ryan.
