Tom Fletcher served the school as both the head baseball coach and athletic director, and helped guide the athletic department to a championship caliber level. He was the head baseball coach from 1979 to 1990, and was the athletic director from 1986 to 1990. His 1985 ACC baseball team won the school’s first national championship, bringing home the NCCAA crown. In his coaching career, he had 13 players drafted into professional baseball.
