Hall of Fame
A native of Decatur, Ala., Lanae Holaway starred for the Faulkner softball team as a multi-time all-conference catcher. A four-time all-academic selection, Holaway played in 205 games during her collegiate career, which was spent entirely in Hal Wynn’s program. By the time she graduated in 2001, Holaway had logged 653 at-bats and produced at an impressively high clip, having worked her way to a .295 career batting average. She finished her Lady Eagle career with 187 hits and 136 runs scored to go along with 64 RBIs. During her time on campus, Holaway proved an indispensible part of a graduating class that held a single season wins record while amassing 132 victories over four years and making the NAIA Region XIII tournament each campaign.
