After winning a national championship at St. Mary’s, Medric Boddie came home. The Uniontown, Ala. native transferred to Faulkner prior to the 1990-91 season and made an immediate impact. In two seasons as an Eagle, Boddie tallied 1,153 points. At the time of his departure from Faulkner, he was fifth all-time in points scored in program history. His 1991-92 campaign earned him NAIA Second Team All-American honors, making him the first Faulkner athlete of any kind to garner such an accolade. Boddie was also instrumental in leading Faulkner to its first national tournament berth in the 1991-92 season. He and his wife, Parnella, have three children: Kaitlyn, Kaleigha and Karley.
